Abstract:The normal healing of a wound requires the body to progress through the three phases of wound repair: inflammation, tissue formation, followed by tissue remodeling. In patients with hidradenitis suppurativa, this normal wound healing progression may be impaired at various timepoints due to comorbid diseases, concomitant medical therapies, and disease-specific considerations.
