Abstract:Brain damage can be observed at any stage of HIV infection, and the spectrum of its causes is extremely diverse. Neuroimaging techniques play a key role in assessing brain lesions. The article describes a clinical case of multifocal brain damage in a patient with undiagnosed HIV infection, discusses the possibilities of various methods of radiation examination for differential diagnosis, demonstrates the most important role of a comprehensive clinical examination for making a diagnosis.
