Abstract:The genera Anemonastrum and Knowltonia earlier usually included in Anemone sensu lato (Ranunculaceae: Anemoneae) were recently proposed to be recognized in expanded circumscriptions, based on molecular phylogenetic findings and partly also morphological and biogeographical evidence.
