Xanthine derivatives inhibit the increase in intracellular Ca2+ concentration induced by acetylcholine in nasal gland acinar cells of the guinea-pig

Abstract: Xanthine derivatives are also known to have inhibitory effects [8][9][10][11][12]. In the present paper, we provide confirmatory evidence that xanthines directly inhibit both Ca 2+ mobilization and entry induced by acetylcholine (ACh) in the nasal gland acinar cells.
