Xanthogranulomatous Pyelonephritis, a Great Imitator: Case Report

Abstract: Xanthogranulomatous pyelonephritis (XPN) is an atypical form of chronic pyelonephritis, characterized by the destruction of the renal parenchyma and its replacement with a chronic infiltrate of lipid-laden macrophages [1].
