Abstract:Xanthogranulomatous salpingo-oophoritis is an infrequent and challenging inflammatory condition of the female genital tract. It involves the destruction of the fallopian tube and ovarian tissue by infiltrating inflammatory cells comprising lipid-laden macrophages, lymphocytes, plasma cells, and multinucleated giant cells.
