“…More importantly, without TN, characteristic bands disappear aer hydrolysis, verifying the protection provided by TN for NH 2 -MIL-125. In addition, all peaks of NH 2 -MIL-125-60 were consistent with those of previously reported TiO 2 23,24. In detail, the bands at 3420, 1620,…”

“…In addition, all peaks of NH 2 -MIL-125-60 were consistent with those of previously reported TiO 2 . 23,24 In detail, the bands at 3420, 1620, 1300, and 718 cm −1 were vested in the O–H stretching, O–H bending, water adsorption, and Ti–O–Ti stretching vibrations, respectively. The FTIR spectroscopy results further demonstrated that TN plays a central role in the preparation of MOF-based self-templates with HRBC-like structures.…”

“…53,54 On the other hand, the hydrophilicity was weakened and the spatial effect was strengthened with increasing alkyl chain length; these effects are unfavorable for the adsorption of the alcohol onto the catalyst. 36 When toluene or water was used as the solvent, almost no furfural hydrogenation reaction occurred, and the corresponding conversions were 1.9% and 2.2%, respectively. Comparing the reaction systems with alcohols to those with toluene and H 2 O further proves the occurrence of catalytic transfer hydrogenation with alcohols as the reaction solvent.…”

“…The binding energy of the catalysts was corrected using a sputter-cleaned pure reference sample of Au (Au4f 7/2 = 83.98 eV). 35,36 The Fe and Cu content was analyzed with a Shimadzu ICPS-7510 spectrometer using inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectroscopy (ICP). The Cu characteristics were determined using N 2 O pulse chemisorption with a Builder PCA-1200 chemical adsorption instrument.…”

“…Even if an adsorption peak around 1615–1640 cm –1 can be assigned to the bending mode of the adsorbed molecular water, the IR spectra presents a broad adsorption band with several secondary structures in the frequency region, which is typical of OH stretchings (2500–3800 cm –1 ) and that are difficult to interpret. 15 25 Roughly speaking, the stretching modes of an adsorbed molecular water are generally attributed to the lower frequency part of this absorption band, while the hydroxyl stretching has been assumed to be responsible for the high energy part of the band. This is clearly a simplified picture since, for example, the hydroxyl stretching can have a lower frequency when ascribed either to the formation of hydrogen bonds or to surface oxygen coordination or even in a water monolayer adsorption structure.…”
