Abstract: Monodon baculovirus (MBV) is a member of the nucleopolyhedrosis virus (NPV) group that produces polyhedral protein occlusion bodies that contain virions in epithelial cells of the hepatopancreas of the peinaeid shrimp Penaeus monodon. The major constituent protein of occlusion bodies is polyhedrin.
