There are a large number of resources on the market, each of which is based on certain scientific researches and written by making use of the methods used in foreign language education. However, the fact that the required level in language education could not be reached in Turkiye, especially in National Education, clearly reveals that there is a need for innovation in methods and resources. Considering that different geographical regions in Turkiye have different learner profiles, it is obvious that these different learners cannot be reached utilising the same content. Since the demanded goals in language education are the same and cannot be changed, it is understood that the issue is related to the method rather than the content. If it is possible to achieve the same result through a common method that can appeal to learners with different profiles, of course, it is necessary to focus on this method. It has been experienced and explained in detail in this article that these gains are easily acquired and a complete success is achieved without any loss using the teaching method by 3-Stage translation, which has been applied to different learner profiles and people from all kinds of professions and age groups for about ten years. For the short stories used in the method, the stories in the UMP Publications Merit Readers set were used.
