Yearning for Popularity: How are Popularity Goals and Self-Perceived Popularity Related to Aggression and Victimization?

Abstract: Many adolescents want to be popular. Popularity goals are associated with adolescents’ relational and overt aggression and aggression has been linked to greater risk for victimization.
