Yield gap analysis through front line demonstration of integrated nutrient management in cotton

Abstract: Front line demonstration is an actual and suitable tool to determine recommended technologies among the farmers field. Krishi Vigyan Kendra, JAU, Amreli conducted 30 demonstrations on integrated nutrient management in cotton during 2019-20, 2020-21 and 2021-22 in the villages of Amreli district. The study found, the yield of cotton in IP under irrigated conditions ranges from 12.20 to 19.58 q/ha whereas in FP it ranges between 11.00 to 17.61 q/ha. The per cent increase in yield with IP over FP was recorded in … Show more

“…While, the independent variables education, size of land holding and marketing channel were found negatively and not significantly correlated with technological gap. The findings are in line with the Vinaya and Tapan (2023), Prajapati et al (2022), Chaudhari et al (2022), Chaudhary et al (2022), Ali et al (2021) and Sardhara et al (2020).…”

“…cotton growers had a less favourable perception about seed should show after hot water treatment (66.88 per cent), Application of Azatobacter as a biofertilizer (65.62 per cent), and Application of Azatobacter as a biofertilizer(50.62 per cent). The results are in line with the findings of Patel et al (2022), Prajapati et al (2022), Rathwa et al (2022). The results reported in Table 2 presented that the great majority (84.38 per cent) of Bt.…”
