Abstract:Secondary coordination sphere ligand effects can be used to direct or organize small molecule substrates at a metal center. Herein, we assess the bifunctional ambiphilic diphosphine, tri-tert-butylboranyldiphosphinoethane (t t bbpe) and its ability to influence stereoselective substrate coordination, while appended to nickel. This report takes a synthetic/computational approach to test the impacts and limitations associated with ligand-directed substrate coordination using [Ni(t t bbpe)(η 2 :η 2 -COD)] (COD = … Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
