Bio-psycho-socio-spiritual approach is the basis for CPT. In the bio-psycho-socio-spiritual approach hierarchy, spirituality takes the top place in the triangle and is effecting the functioning of all other lower levels in a bidirectional way. Spirituality is “an indi-vidual’s search for ultimate meaning of life through participation in religion and through a belief in God, family, nature, rational-ism, humanism and the arts”. All these factors can influence the patient’s health both in illness and wellness and interact with one another Biological psychiatry is good at addressing illness, but, not addressing wellness. So, psychiatry should integrate spiritual methods to help the client to promote fulfillment, happiness, meaning of life, joy, character growth. Gayatri mantra is going to give the awareness of dynamics of relatively narrow identities to broad global human identities, i.e., evolving from ‘I’ to ‘We’. CPT is a comprehensive approach in prevention of recurrence of psychiatric disorders. Here we present few case studies and observations by using gayatri mantra for psychotic disorders.
