“…Po skyrybų tėvai patiria emocinės, socialinės gerovės pablogėjimą (Bertoni, Carra, Iafrate, Zachettin, & Pasire, 2018). Besiskiriantys tėvai dažnai nerimauja dėl savo vaikų psichologinės sveikatos (Parmiani, Iafrate, & Giuliani, 2012;Valls-Vidal, Garriga Alsina, Pérez-Testor, Guàrdia-Olmos, & Iafrate, 2016). O bendratėvystė neutralizuoja neigiamas skyrybų pasekmes vaikams (Bernardi & Mortelmans, 2021).…”

“…Several studies have identified that triangling in one's family of origin is significantly and positively associated with child depression (Wang & Crane, 2001), poor ego development (Bell et al, 2001), relational anxiety and negative adjustment (Perrin et al, 2013), as well as externalizing problem behaviors (Bosco et al, 2003). Although this diffusion of boundaries occurs more often in divorced families (Valls‐Vidal et al, 2016), triangling between parents and children has been significantly linked to negative outcomes for those from both divorced and intact families (Perrin et al, 2013). Although patterns of triangling across cultures and other dimensions of diversity are understudied, for the most part these negative effects are observed across diverse samples (Bell et al, 2001; Kwok et al, Valls‐Vidal et al, 2016; Wang et al, 2017) although Wang et al found a positive relationship between parentification (which they considered a form of triangling) among a sample of Chinese elementary students.…”

Some research has found that patterns of triangling differ across gender (e.g., Bell et al, 2001; Wang et al, 2017), but other studies have not shown gender differences (Franck & Buehler, 2007; Grych et al, 2004).…”

“…Moreover, separated parents are concerned with the well‐being of their children, which is generally challenged by separations and divorces (e.g. Amato, ; Parmiani, Iafrate, & Giuliani, ; Valls‐Vidal, Garriga, Pérez‐Testor, Guàrdia‐Olmos, & Iafrate, ). The main task for parents facing this critical event is to maintain a parental alliance (coparenting) for the sake of their children's well‐being (Adamsons, O'Brien, & Pasley, ).…”
