With the greening of agriculture, there is a need to better link the sustainable development goals (SDGs) and organic agriculture in developing countries. However, in Serbia, there is a huge gap between the potential of their implementation and the actual situation. This paper assessed the strengths and weaknesses of SDGs and organic agriculture in Serbia and how their relationship can contribute in the development of sustainable agriculture. Key data and indicators of the economic, agricultural and social development of Serbia from international and national databases, as well as recent publications related to the selected topic, were assesed. The results showed that the restricted development of organic agriculture in Serbia stems from the undeveloped awareness of consumers, slower acceptance of alternative agricultural systems and the volatility of mainstream conventional agricultural production. The integration of organic agriculture into the largest conceptual and strategic frameworks, such as the SDGs, can offer a true transformation of local food systems and could result in positive feedback to the environment and society. In the long term, the SDGs framework can help connect various dimensions of sustainable agriculture, stakeholders and policymakers. The future focus should be on how to create entry points for agricultural transformation based on certified organic methodologies and how to integrate agricultural heritage into the realisation of SDGs.

The implementation of the 2030 Agenda relies heavily on the active involvement of local governments. The concept of “Localization”—the process of adapting and customizing the SDGs and translating them into local development plans and strategies—has gained prominence as governments address emerging challenges, necessitating innovative approaches. Practical insights from local governments are essential for guiding others in this process. A key debate focuses on “prioritization,” emphasizing the need to focus on a specific set of SDG targets based on available resources, the local government's experience with sustainable policies or the normative framework in which it operates. Prioritization is crucial to prevent fragmentation of efforts that could hinder the local government's contribution to the 2030 Agenda. This paper aims to introduce a methodology for prioritizing SDG targets within local governments. Using a multicriteria analysis tool, the paper shows the process undertaken by the Barcelona City Council to cluster the SDG targets around four priority groups based on four criteria: (i) distance to the goal, (ii) strategic coverage, (iii) normative competence, and (iv) budgetary effort. The prioritization approach contributes to a better monitoring and evaluation process to assess progress towards the SDGs and enhance collaborative efforts across municipal policy and management levels. The findings provide valuable insights and serve as a reference for other local governments aiming at contributing to the 2030 Agenda. The approach is adaptable and can be applied to different subnational governments by tailoring to their specific scope and requirements of the context of application.

ZusammenfassungDie Partizipation Jugendlicher in Planungsprozessen gewinnt zunehmend an Bedeutung. Die Beteiligung junger Menschen bietet jedoch nicht nur Vorteile. Vielmehr stehen partizipative Initiativen auch vor Herausforderungen. Neben einer zu geringen Anzahl von Mitwirkenden bezieht sich dies auch auf die Qualität und Quantität der Beiträge. Allerdings gilt die Teilhabe junger Menschen per se als schwierig und bleibt oft hinter den Erwartungen zurück. Welche Vorteile und Herausforderungen charakterisieren partizipative Projekte mit der Beteiligung von Jugendlichen? Wie kann Partizipation junger Menschen optimal(er) gestaltet werden? Eine Online-Befragung von StadtplanungsakteurInnen in Deutschland, Österreich und der Schweiz, die im Rahmen des Projekts u3Green durchgeführt wurde, adressiert diese Fragen. Die Antworten der über 80 Teilnehmenden zeigen, dass junge Menschen durchaus in stadtplanerische Belange eingebunden werden. Primär handelt es sich dabei um Projekte zur Gestaltung von Spiel- und Sportplätzen sowie vielseitig nutzbaren Freiräumen. Als wesentliche Vorteile der Teilhabe junger Menschen sehen die Befragten den Erhalt neuer Ideen und die Möglichkeit eines Perspektivenwechsels; als Herausforderungen jedoch z. B. den hohen Aufwand und notwendige pädagogische Fähigkeiten sowie Geduld und Durchhaltevermögen seitens der Projektdurchführenden. Die Befragungsergebnisse ermöglichen abschließend Empfehlungen zur besseren Umsetzung von Partizipation von Jugendlichen in entsprechenden Projekten.
