Abstract: The main issue of the article is the analysis of the films by Sasha Baron Cohen in the context of political correctness. The fictional characters created by the director have their counterparts in the real world, but those counterparts are usually forced out of the public debate due to their controversial nature. Distance is created by Cohen with the use of comedy, which is the least serious film genre.
