Abstract

The low level of education of the people in Turi village, Jetis Ponorogo subdistrict, means that the majority of residents work as farm laborers, where farm labor work can only be done temporarily and cannot generate regular income. This results in many problems occurring in every household in the village, such as the large number of women who become migrant workers to meet household needs and achieve family prosperity. On the other hand, there is a lack of utilizing the potential of the Turi Jetis village community so that they are not able to generate regular income. This condition requires solutions from various parties, both government and private and also from academics, so it is important to provide empowerment for the community, especially housewives. The service method is in the form of assistance in making various cakes and traditional snacks. This PKM activity was carried out for 6 months from September 2023 to February 2024 involving lecturers. The PKM team is Unida Gontor Lecturers, Students and PKM Partners. Currently, Mitra has improved his skills in making various cakes and traditional snacks and is able to understand the nutritional content of each product he produces, as well as increasing his ability to carry out simple bookkeeping and also being able to carry out online and offline marketing, so that now his family's income has increased and his welfare has begun to improve.
