Abstract: Die potentiellen gesundheitlichen Risiken verschiedener Dentallegierungen und Amalgame sind auf multifaktorielle Ursachen zurÜckzufÜhren. Die Freisetzung einzelner Metallkomponenten in situ wird von dem Korrosionsverhalten, von der Phasentransformation und von der Abrasion der verwendeten Legierung als auch von dem pH-Wert, der Temperatur, dem mikrobiellen Belag sowie der Zusammensetzung des Speichels und der Nahrung bestimmt.
