“…The recent identification of the Early Permian radiolarian fauna in the Solon Obo ophiolite belt confirms that the PAO closed no earlier than the Early Permian (Li, Chung, et al, ). It is suggested that the Carboniferous magmatic rocks formed from a calc‐alkaline magma, and most of them are adakitic (subduction‐related) and arc magmatic rocks with relatively low SiO 2 and high εHf( t ), representing the earlier episode of magmatism that involved more mantle‐derived magmas being introduced by subduction (Liu et al, ; Zhang, Zhao, Song, et al, ). Subsequently, the intensity of oceanic subduction decreased and the subducting plate moved closer to the southern block.…”

“…The Carboniferous, Permian, and Triassic intrusive rocks are distributed on both sides of the Huogeqi Fault. The Carboniferous intrusive rocks consist mainly of gabbros, diorites, and quartz diorites (Liu et al, ), and the Permian intrusive rocks mainly include monzogranite, granodiorite, and quartz diorite (Wang, Han, et al, ), while the Triassic intrusive rocks are mainly acidic and include granodiorite, monzogranite, and syenogranite (Figure c, Wang et al, , Wang, Xu, et al, , Wang et al, ).…”

“…Isotopic ratios and element concentrations of zircons were calculated using Glitter. Concordia ages and diagrams were obtained using Isoplot/Ex (3.0) (Ludwig, Wang et al, 2015; (2) Liu et al, 2016a; (3) Dan et al, 2016;(4) Lin et al, 2014;(b) geological map of the southern Langshan, showing locations of samples and their zircon U-Pb data. 2003).…”
