Abstract: AT1R gene polymorphisms lead to hyperactivity of renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system, eNOS gene polymorphisms are associated with reduced endothelial synthesis of NO, while ε2 and ε4 alleles of apoE affect cholesterol levels.
