χaroν: a tool for neutrino flux generation from WIMPs

Abstract: Indirect searches for signatures of corpuscular dark matter have been performed using all cosmic messengers: gamma rays, cosmic rays, and neutrinos. The search for dark matter with neutrinos is important since they are the only courier that can reach detectors from dark matter processes in dense environments, such as the core of the Sun or Earth, or the edge of the observable Universe. One thing essential to experiments is the prediction of the neutrino signature in the detector. I will introduce aro , a softw… Show more

“…Independent of UV motivations, there is a clear reason to consider searching for such DM: the robust existing and upcoming experimental program to probe astrophysical messengers at higher and higher energies. Many instruments can probe heavy DM, including HAWC [27], Ice-Cube [28][29][30][31][32], ANTARES [33,34], Pierre Auger Observatory [35][36][37], Telescope Array [38,39], and in the future CTA [40,41], LHAASO [42,43], IceCube-Gen2 [44], and KM3NET [45,46]. Taken together, these experiments demonstrate that in the coming years we will continue FIG.…”

“…Other plans include a Python interface, and a direct interface to directly compute annihilation and IceCube likelihoods (e.g. using the 𝜒aro𝜈 tool [24]), as well as inclusion of the multiple-scattering regime in which the optical depth becomes important for capture and evaporation [22].…”
