Abstract:Friction coefficient and wear of hypereutectic alloy of aluminum with 15wt.% silicon with supermodified eutectic structure without primary silicon crystals were studied. Such hypereutectic alloy with eutectic structure was obtained by directional solidification with the rate 1mm/s. It has higher strength and plasticity, higher resistance to wear and lower friction coefficient than hypereutectic alloy of aluminum with 20 wt.% silicon. After modification by strontium its tribological properties are superior to t… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
