Abstract

A project of drilling a horizontal well with the depth of 4040 m for clastic reservoir of horizon T-IV of the S. Nurzhanov field was implemented for the first time in the history of Embamunaigas JSC in 2019. While implementing the project, the specialists of Embamunaigas JSC together with Schlumberger Logelco Inc., Petro-Unit and XiBu executed a set of technical measures that ensured successful well drilling. The article provides an overview of engineering solutions and measures for drilling horizontal well № 805, including the selection of optimal BHA, parameters of drilling fluids, geosteering service based on geological model.
