Abstract:The article presents the data of lipid metabolism at the stages of long-term (12 months) suppressive therapy with dopamine agonist cabergoline in 61 patients with prolactinoma. It is proved that the normalization of prolactin levels during therapy reduces the risk of development and progression of atherogenesis through reduction of total cholesterol content and increase in high-density lipoprotein cholesterol.
