Abstract:INTRODUCTION: Acute kidney injury (AKI) is a common and serious complication after cardiac surgery performed under cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB). Patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD) are particularly vulnerable to cardiac surgery-associated AKI.
