Abstract

The article is dedicated to the issue of developing social activity among nursing professionals through volunteer activities. The main characteristics of volunteer activities outlined in legislative documents and scientific research are disclosed. The functions of volunteer activities are characterized, including ideological, educational, communicative, educational, social experience formation, recreational, and preventive functions.
