Abstract: Organochlorine pesticides (OCPs) and polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) are global superecotoxicants belonging to a group of persistent organic pollutants (POPs). Fish and seafood are an important source of high-grade protein and polyunsaturated fatty acids, especially for residents of coastal areas.
