Abstract:The article presents a modification of the radio-frequency Paul trap with a rotatable toroidal electrode for trapping of charged microobjects under standard conditions. The trapping of plants spores of the Lycopodium Clavatum with a characteristic size of 33 ± 3 μm was demonstrated. Extended orbits were observed during trapping these objects. The principle of the appearing of two-dimensional extended orbits in the electrodynamic Paul trap has been described.
