Abstract

The aim of the current research is to know the impact of the adaptive learning environment according to the learning style (analytical / holistic) according to the Felder and Silverman model based on gestures for the development of geographical concepts and mental toughness for firstgrade students, and this was done through the design and production of two environments according to the learning style based on gestures through The webcam of students' computers using the Muhammad Attia Khamis (2015) model of educational design, and the research sample consisted of (60) male and female students from the first year of middle school and divided them into two experimental groups. The first was designed and produced an adaptive learning environment based on gestures according to the analytical learning method and the other an adaptive learning environment based on gestures was designed and produced according to the total learning method. The research tools were used, an achievement test and a mental toughness scale prepared by Clough and his colleagues (2002), which was translated and standardized on the Egyptian environment. The T.test method was used, and the effect size was calculated through the eta square. Achieving the superiority of the first experimental group with the analytical learning method in both the achievement test and the mental toughness scale.
