Abstract:The singlephoton detection technique has unique advantages, such as high sensitivity, low timing jitter, and low power consumption. Thus, its applications in laser ranging and imaging are becoming increasingly widespread. In this paper, we introduce a lowcost highprecision singlephoton ranging system, in which a narrow pulse laser generated by the laser diode with a pulse width of 160 ps and a low timing jitter singlephoton detector based on a multipixel photon counter with a timing jitter of 417 ps are used t… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
