Abstract: As the optimum policy for considering the selective conversion of marked component among parallel reactions, two objective functions were discussed. One was the amount of reactant B per unit treatment of raw material Ai (Eq. 10) by means of stoichiometric selectivity. The other objective function was reduced from its connection with ecomonical balance (Eq. 22). The computation method to get optimum point was discussed, and a chlorination process was examined as an example.
