This paper presents specialized means to analyze, model and research of data exchange in large-scale corporate computer network. Due to extreme complexity of corporate intranet networks and the internet has resulted in the apparent difficulties in the development of an analytical model. Thus, under these circumstances, simulation models became viable alternative to comprehend the behavior of these complex networks during data exchange. This research work examined the mode of data exchange since its perfection allows in many cases to obtain a considerable improvement of the network and also the network application performance without substantial additional expenditure. Hence, the need for this developed algorithm for increasing the efficiency of data exchange in a computer network and the appropriate topology that suite this case. Test results from the algorithm showed an average of 10 to 15% increase and occasionally 60% and above increase in data exchange efficiency without additional expenses.
Rapid developments in communication and information technologies and the ever growing network user's demands have made network traffic efficiency a prominent problem in today's internet. As users come and go, so do the packets they send: Internet performance is therefore largely governed by these inevitable natural fluctuations, it is therefore of great importance to develop more advanced as well as robust methodologies and models to deliver manageable, stable and reliable services in order to fulfill the ever-growing demands for the QoS requirements in the networks. The basic task of research and simulation of network infrastructure is to work out the recommendations for the most rational use of computer network resources. The necessity herein arises upon both at development of new network application and deployments, and also, during administration or development of the existing networks. This paper, therefore, presents a new method of boosting data exchange efficiency using developed multi-layer simulation models to suite any network traffic with samples.
General TermsBoosting Data Exchange Efficiency
This chapter provides solutions for increasing the efficiency of data transfer in modern computer network applications and computing network environments based on the TCP/IP protocol suite. In this work, an imitation model and simulation was used as the basic method in the research. A simulation model was developed for designing and analyzing the computer networks based on TCP/IP protocols suite which fully allows the exact features in realizing the protocols and their impact on increasing the efficiency of data transfer in local and corporate networks. The method of increasing efficiency in the performance of computer networks was offered, based on the TCP/IP protocols by perfection of the modes of data transfer in them. This allows an increased efficient usage of computer networks and network applications without additional expenditure on infrastructure of the network. Practically, the results obtained from this research enable significant increase in the performance efficiency of data transfer in the computer networks environment. An example is the “Donetsk National Technical University” network.
