The interesterification reaction of the ethyl (I) and isopropyl (II) ethers of sulphoimides of saccharin-5and -6-carboxylic acids with glycerine has been studied. The corresponding 2-hydroxypropyl-1,3-bisesterosulphoimides of saccharin-5-and-6-carboxylic acids have been synthesized. They have been characterized by elemental analysis and method of the IR spectroscopy. It has been elucidated that in use of 10% PbO catalyst per mass of glycerine a yield of purposeful product reaches its greatest value -82 and 85% depending on used saccharin: (-5-) or (-6-).
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
