Empirical research in education focuses mainly on students and teachers when tackling topics related to K-12 education. This study, however, aimed to focus on non-teaching staff members in a sample of Lebanese private schools to shed the light on this category of school staff that has not yet gotten the attention it deserves from researchers, both locally and globally. As per the Schools Guide 2020-2021, published on the website of the Center for Educational Research and Development (CRDP, 2023), it is estimated that nonteaching staff in private schools in Lebanon constitute around 22% of the total number of staff. Given the size of this category of staff and the vast responsibilities they hold, it was important to shed a light on them and understand their perceptions as compared to those of teaching staff.
