The "N, I3C and 'H NMR spectra of 2:l cobalt(II1) complexes of azo dyes and tbei "N isotopomers, derived from substituted Zhydroxyaniline azo coupling products with acetoacetanilide, were measured. It was found that, in contrast to precursors existing fully in their hydrazone forms, 2:l cobalt(II1) complexes exist in (E)-azo contigurations, cobalt being bound to oxygens which originate in bydroxy and amide groups and nitrogen from substituted anilines as starting material.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
