To better understand the nickel-iron electrodeposition process, we have developed one-dimensional numerical model. This model addresses dissociation, diffusion, electromigration, convection and deposition of multiple ion species. The reaction mechanism in this model differs in that N i 2+ and F e 2+ are the electroactive species and N iOH + and F eOH + are not involved whatsover. To take account of the anisotropic behaviour of the solution we introduce a domain decomposition numerical method. Simulations with experimental data shows that our model can predict characteristic features of the nickel-iron system.
The aim of this paper is to show the existence and present a numerical analysis of weak solutions for a quasi-linear elliptic problem with Dirichlet boundary conditions in a domain Ω and data belonging to L 1 (Ω). A numerical algorithm to compute a numerical approximation of the weak solution is described and analyzed. Numerical examples are presented and commented.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
