Enhanced models of lumped elements (LE) and ports (LP) for incorporation into frequency domain vector finite element method (VFEM) are described. LE and LP models are associated with a straight line or rectangle, containing arbitrary number of finite elements (FE) edges or faces. A proposed algorithm of incorporating lumped elements into VFEM mesh preserves global matrix symmetry and is compatible with model order reduction (MOR) technique. Numerical results confirm high accuracy and efficiency of the presented algorithms.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
