A field experiment was conducted during 2021 to study the influence of different organics on growth, yield and economic soybean [Glycine max (L.)] under rainfed condition. The treatment include different foliar nutrition application (F) viz., control (F1), 4% panchgavya (F2), 2% novel organic liquid (F3), 4% seaweed extract (F4), 4% cow urine (F5) and 2% vermiwash (F6) at 30 and 45 DAS and soil application (S) viz., control (S1) and jeevamrut (S2)500 l ha-1. Growth parameter viz., plant height, number of branches plant-1 and root nodules plant-1 shows significant effect by the treatments. Yield parameter viz., number of pods plant-1, number of seeds per pod-1, test weight, seed yield and straw yield of soybean were significantly increased by the treatments of different organics.
A field experiment was conducted during kharif season 2021 to study the effect of seed size and bio-fertilizers on growth, yield and yield parameter of crop. The treatments include different categories of seed size viz., mixed (S1), bold (S2) and small seed size (S3) and bio-fertilizer viz., control (B1), Rhizobium + PSB + KMB (B2) and Trichoderma harzianum + Aspergillus niger (B3). Large seed size and bio-fertilizer shows significant effect on growth parameter viz., plant height, number of branches plant-1, number of pegs plant-1 and root nodules plant-1 and yield parameter viz., number of pods plant-1, number of seeds per pod-1, seed index, shelling percentage and seed yield of groundnut except harvest index. Large seed size shows significant increase in number of pegs plant-1 and pods plant-1 which increase the yield of groundnut. In case of bio-fertilizer, Rhizobium + PSB + KMB shows significant effect on growth and yield parameter viz., plant height, number of branches plant-1, number of pegs plant-1, root nodules plant-1, yield parameter viz., number of pods plant-1, number of seeds per pod-1, seed index, shelling percentage and seed yield of groundnut except harvest index.
A field experiment conducted during summer season 2018 on College Farm, Navsari Agricultural University, Navsari on heavy black soil consisting nine treatments combinations were laid out in Randomized block design with factorial concept with four replications. The results revealed that the highest yield and net return of summer pearl millet was obtained with row spacing 45 × 15 cm or 60 × 15 cm along with hybrid GHB – 732 or GHB –558. Sowing of pearl millet at 45 × 15 cm row spacing showed significantly higher protein yield (508.85 kg/ha), grain yield (4775 kg/ha), straw yield (7828 kg/ha), nutrients uptake by grain and straw and maximum net realization of Rs.81295/ha with BCR of 3.07. The hybrid GHB-732 gave significantly higher protein yield (498.75 kg/ha), grain yield (4579 kg/ha), straw yield (7536 kg/ha), nutrients (N and K) uptake and total uptake by grain and straw and maximum net realization of Rs.77014/ha with highest BCR 2.91.
