A comparative study of eight taxa of Lomelosia RAF. (Dipsacaceae) from Greece, according to their fatty acid and sterol composition and antibacterial activity With 3 Figures and 3 Tables S u m m a r y Z u s a m m e n f a s s u n gEight taxonomically related taxa of the genus Lomelosin (Dipsacaceae) from Greece, had been examined for their fatty acid and sterol composition. Separation and identification of the lipid fraction was achieved by GC and GC-MS. Moreover, these taxa were screened for their antibacterial properties against six of the most. common Gram 5 bacteria. The relation between chemical pattern and taxonomy is discussed.
