Autocorrelation measurements of the time structure of radiation have been performed on a InGaAsP/InP laser based on self-organized nanostructures under CW pumping. The measurements reveal ultra-short-pulses shorter than the intra-cavity round-trip time in the structure of laser radiation. The first and second order analysis of optical autocorrelation functions prove the pulse nature of CW injection laser radiation. Two different modes of pulse formation has been shown.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
