The aim of this research is to produce physics based learning media for Android integrated with earthquake disaster education. This study uses a 4D development model. Data collection instruments in the form of expert validation sheets which include media experts and material experts. The research data was collected through observation sheets, questionnaire sheets, and analyzed descriptively quantitatively. The result shows that the development of physics learning media based on android was carried out by the development procedures. Then, the result of expert validation shows that the physics learning media has been developed well. Moreover, the physics learning media is suitable for learning process.
This research aims to determine the enhancement of problem solving abilities and natural disaster preparedness after implement learning with a physics learning media based on android integrated earthquake disaster education. This research uses a pre-experimental design with one group pretest-posstest. The subjects in this research were students of class X MIA 3 of SMA Negeri 1 Depok. This research data was collected through essay tests consisting of 4 items pretest and posttest and natural disaster preparedness questionnaire. The data obtained were analyzed descriptively and used N-gain to find out the enhancement of students’ problem solving abilities and natural disaster preparedness. The results using N-gain analysis showed that the enhancement of problem solving ability for class X MIA 3 had a value of 0.57 in the medium category while the increase in natural disaster preparedness for class X MIA 3 had a value of 0.05 with the low category.
This research aimed to determine the effectiveness of the implementation of tsunami understanding media through Android-based physics mobile learning in improving students' problem-solving skills and natural disaster preparedness. This study employed quasi-experiment research with a non-equivalent control group design. This research subjects were fifty-six students of class XI IPA at SMA N 1 Kretek, Bantul, Yogyakarta. The sampling technique employed in this research was the simple random sampling technique to determine the experimental and control groups. The research data had been obtained through pretest and posttest in the form of essay tests. The data obtained were then analyzed using N-gain. The analysis results were used to determine the effectiveness of the media using the Hotelling's Trace test in MANOVA test analysis. Normally distributed and homogeneous data are required to perform the multivariate analysis. The results showed that the tsunami understanding media through Android-based physics mobile learning improved students' problem-solving skills and natural disaster preparedness compared to the learning using PowerPoint presentation. The research decisions were based on the significant value that was smaller than 0.05 (0.0000.05), and the value of the Partial Eta Squared was 0.359 in the broad category.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
