In the field of aeronautics, among all types of requirements, safety requirements are those which have the greater impact on defining approaches to manage orderly the development of any element composing the aircraft. The increased complexity of aircraft systems led the aeronautic community to define suitable requirements for safety and certification. This resulted in the production of ARP 4754 “Certification Considerations for Highly‐Integrated or Complex Aircraft Systems” developed by the SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers) and EUROCAE (The European Organisation for Civil Aviation Equipment). These recommended practices have then been analysed by Airbus Industries in order to revise the current domestic directives used for System development. A new set of directives have been developed, this paper presents the main characteristics of these new Airbus Standards.
Abstract. This paper introduces a novel approach 1 in the development of systems. The approach is based on a selective use of formal semiformal speci cation languages by using the multiparadigm multiformalism approach. It allows to combine di erent speci cation languages in the same environment. Used methods are StateCharts, SAO, and SDL for a speci c avionics system as CMWC340. We give also an extended approach based on the same framework using Statemate and VDM to derive a global formal speci cation for the systems. This work can be considered as an experience return with preliminary results and also in an infrastructure exploratory study. An ongoing perspective is the use of a common format based on industrial standard as VHDL-AMS.
