Dipod ligands R2M'(OCH2PMe2)x(CH2CH2PMe2)2-x (R = Me, Ph; M' = Si, Ge; x = 0 - 2) have been prepared by reacting R2M'Cl2 and R2M'ClxVi2-x (x = 0, 1), respectively, with Me2PCH2OH in the presence of trimethylamine, in case of the resulting vinyl-M' derivatives R2M'(OCH2PMe2)xVi2-x (x = 0, 1) followed by the photochemical addition of Me2PH to the vinyl groups. Analytical (C, H) and spectroscopic (NMR, MS) investigations prove the purity and identity of the new donor/acceptor ligands.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
