Angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) and aldosterone concentration were measured in the plasma of 32 pregnant women with normal blood pressure or with pregnancy-induced hypertension (PIH). Mean arterial pressure (MAP) in PIH women was significantly higher than in normotensive pregnant women.
