The chemical composition of a five-fold sweet orange oil, Pera variety, prepared by vacuum distillation process has been investigated. The experimental conditions applied were: temperature of 80°C, from 10-30 mbar and with a reflux ratio in the range of 0.25-0.75. Forty-four components were identified by GC/MS, representing greater than 99% of total volatiles.

Because of the data of B . tabaci control , effect on arthropod predators, and tomato yeld, the cultivar 'Rio Grande' planted with a 20 m-wide band of grain sorghum around the crop and protected by applications of thiodicarb, carbaryl or aldicarb at 1.00; 0 , 80; 3.00 kg AI/ha , respectively, was the most adequate strategy for integrated control of the mentioned pest .Recebido em 20/04/83.
