It is appropriate to focus on sustainable energy vehicles, with an intention to meet the 2050 target of an 80% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions. Fuel cells (FCs) are the only acceptable source of efficiency available in vehicles from renewable sources. Moreover, the voltage of the FC is very low to match the DC bus, which is, used to drive the motor inverter. Hence to enhance the response of the FC and to afford the desired voltage of the motor inverter, a hybrid boost converter (HBC) is suggested to give the required voltage response, as well as reduce the component stress and achieve a low output ripple. The novel topology is modeled and evaluated by using MATLAB/Simulink Software.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
