In the Russian Federation, small business cooperation in rural areas plays an important social role, and the state provides great support to the development of cooperation. The paper provides an analysis of the state and areas of development of agricultural consumer cooperatives at the federal and regional levels. The analysis has showed that, against the background of a decrease in the number of agricultural consumer cooperatives, their consolidation and an increase in fixed assets are taking place. The main reasons for the slow development of cooperation in the countryside have been established. The Saratov region is one of the regions that has accumulated many years of successful experience in the agricultural consumer cooperatives activities. The experience of the Soyuz export-oriented supply and sales cooperative of the Saratov region is described. Proposals are given for the development of agricultural cooperatives, including that through the introduction of innovations and state-of-the-art digital resources and advanced training of personnel.

The experience of the export-oriented supply and marketing of Soyuz Cooperative (Saratov region) is discussed. Proposals for the development of agricultural cooperatives are provided.
The history of the creation of the Yaroslavl Research Research Institute of Livestock Breeding and Forage Production and the scientific developments of the Institutes staff are presented. Yaroslavl SRILB is a branch of FWRC FPA named after V.R. Williams in 2019 celebrated the 50th anniversary of its founding and the 115th anniversary of the establishment of the Center for Scientific Research on Livestock and Dairy Production in the Yaroslavl Region. The zootechnical department opened in 1909 became the first and only research institution for animal husbandry in the territory of Russia. In 1969 the Yaroslavl Scientific Research Institute of Livestock Breeding and Forage Production which was directly subordinate to the Russian Academy of Agricultural Sciences, was created on the basis of the AllUnion Livestock Station and the Yaroslavl State Agricultural Experimental Station. Currently the research work of the Institute staff is to develop a graingrass crop rotation which ensures the production of forage with a productivity of 56 thousand hectare feed units, with high energy and protein nutrition (910 MJ per 1 kg of dry matter, 13 of crude protein) studying the influence of new generation feed concentrates (polymicrobiological feed concentrate, feed concentrate, microfeed) on the economically valuable indicators of different classes of cattle the development of design and technological solutions for a dairy farm with elements of comfortable keeping cows and intelligent control ensuring an increase in the productive longevity of animals by 1.5 2 times and productivity not less than 7000 kg per year the development of an improved method of managing genetic potential using population, immune and molecular genetics writing a manual on the assessment of the genotype of sheep of the Romanovskaya breed on economically significant features.
The authors studied the possibilities of digitization of agriculture and the need to use it in modern conditions of economic development, investigate the main directions and tasks of implementing digital transformation of agriculture as a whole and in small-sized businesses. The authors propose three areas of digitalization of agricultural enterprises, and determine the affecting factors. On the example of digitalization of plant culture, with introducing of precision farming technologies, the authors proposed a mechanism for their development, including three main blocks and two blocks related to the infrastructure component, in order to systematize the preparatory and promotional works. Particular attention is paid to the integration of agronomic programs with the 1C accounting software, which will allow you to quickly track fluctuations in production efficiency indicators when external and internal factors change. It was determined that to solve the problems identified by the authors of introducing digital technologies to small-sized businesses, which largely depend on the possibility of financing innovative projects, it is proposed to use the advantages of cooperativeintegration formations that combine small and medium-sized agribusiness. It is noted that the consumers of agricultural supply and marketing cooperatives actively use Internet resources. The results of the study of integration systems in the dairy-food subcomplex and the formation of zones of raw dairy factories allowed us to propose the digitization of dairy commodity farms through integration associations.
