With this paper we continue a new annual series, the main purpose of which is to make significant floristic findings from Russia and neighboring countries more vi sible in Russia and abroad. In total, this paper presents new records for 24 vascular plant species from 4 Eurasian countries, obtained during field explorations, as well as during taxonomic revisions of herbarium materials. For the first time, new locali ty of Ageratum conyzoides, Salvia hispanica, Thymus rasitatus, Tulipa mongolica is recorded for Russia, Sparganium glomeratum for North Korea, Alyssum armenum for Georgia, Thymus pseudopannonicus for Kazakhstan, Cymbalaria muralis for the Asian part of Russia, Anthemis ruthenica for Siberia, Capsella orientalis, Echinops sphaerocephalus, Hera cleum sosnowskyi, Thymus elegans for Eastern Siberia, Persicaria orientalis for Western Si beria, Galatella crinitoides for the Black Soil Region, Centaurea orientalis for Zavolzhye, Silene dichotoma for the Altai Republic, Onobrychis arenaria, Symphyotrichum squamatum, Verbesina encelioides for the Republic of Dagestan, Geranium dahuricum for the Re public of Sakha (Yakutia), Koeleria spryginii for the Republic of Tatarstan, Phacelia tanacetifolia for Sakhalin, Adonis wolgensis for Novosibirsk Region. For each species, the general distribution, habitat, and taxonomy, indicating differences from related species and location are presented.
Use of computer technology allows to quickly analyze and use subject, technological, analytical and other information. Biometric statistics in plant breeding is aimed at optimizing (increasing efficiency, reliability, acceleration and cheapening) the process of breeding varieties of agricultural crops. Therefore, creation and study of new varieties of oil flax requires widespread introduction of modern computer information technologies that provide information support of the breeding process at all its stages. Methods of multi-criteria mathematical statistics - factor and cluster analyses - were used in the studies for a comprehensive assessment of hybrid populations of oil flax by productivity elements (plant height, technical length, inflorescence length, number of pods per plant, number of seeds per plant, number of seeds in a box, weight of 100 seeds, and oil content in seeds). Effectiveness of selection of hybrids of the third cycle of breeding has been evaluated, and also the distinctive features of hybrid combinations in a number of generations have been established. As a result of selection and technological cycle of the analysis, 31 highly productive hybrids (or 6.9%) were identified for further reproduction. Despite the high level of the breeding differential determined in hybrid combinations during the F2-F3 generation change, their response to traits based selection according to “number of seeds in a box” and “weight of 100 seeds” was weak, and selection by the number of boxes and seeds from the plant turned out to be ineffective. The selection method used makes it possible to cull low-yielding plants that have fallen into the worst groups of clusters. Culling by the method of multidimensional analysis should be used in later generations (fourth-fifth cycle of selection) as homozygosity of traits is established.
В рамках изучения харовых водорослей России для уточнения и дополнения списков региональных Красных книг обновлены данные по Среднему Поволжью. По литературным источникам из этого региона известны 18 видов из четырех родов. Достоверность указаний проверена по образцам из ряда гербариев и оригинальным сборам. С учетом всех данных подготовлен конспект видов. Для Среднего Поволжья подтверждены гербарными образцами 14 видов из трех родов. Необходимо подтверждение литературных указаний шести видов и одного рода, образцы которых неизвестны. Почти для всех регионов данные крайне ограничены, за исключением Самарской области. Впервые для Среднего Поволжья приводятся Chara inconnexa и C. subspinosa. Единственное местонахождение второго вида в регионе подтверждено лишь образцом XVIII в. Ряд видов указан впервые для отдельных регионов. Впервые приведены сведения по харовым водорослям Ульяновской области. Видовой состав харовых водорослей Среднего Поволжья беднее по сравнению с Верхним и Нижним Поволжьем, что отражает как меньшую представленность некоторых экологических групп, так и недостаточную изученность, за исключением Самарской области. Видовой состав харовых водорослей Среднего Поволжья можно считать обедненным вариантом флоры Верхнего Поволжья. Наиболее часто здесь встречаются Chara vulgaris и C. globularis, которые можно отнести к видам-генералистам. Предложена корректировка списков видов, включенных в Красные книги регионов Среднего Поволжья. На основе критериев Красной книги России к охране рекомендованы также Chara braunii, C. contraria, C. papillosa, C. subspinosa, C. tomentosa, C. virgata, Nitella gracilis, N. mucronata. Проведена оценка типов водоемов, наиболее важных для охраны видов харовых водорослей, и предложены три ключевые ботанические территории, водоемы которых способны поддерживать их устойчивые популяции. Необходимо выявление новых местонахождений харовых водорослей для организации их эффективной охраны в регионе.
