The article presents the results of the effect of fumaric acid, dipromonium and vitamin C on productivity, physiological state and natural resistance of sows. The scientific and economic experience was carried out at the pig-breeding complex with a production capacity of 27 thousand heads “Voskhod” in the Mogilev region of Belarus. Forty primiparous gilts were divided into four groups (n = 10): a control and three experimental groups. Experimental gilts received basal diet supplemented with fumaric acid (4.0 g/kg of dry matter), dipromonium (0.4 g/kg) or vitamin C (0.1 g/kg) from 1 to 20 d of lactation. The animals of the control group did not receive the indicated preparation. The use of additives contributed to an increase in the milk yield of pigs, the viability of piglets and their growth rate by 21.1-30.0% (P<0.05), 6.0-6.6 and 10.0-27.9%, respectively, as well as influenced the morphological, biochemical and immunological parameters of the blood of pigs and their progeny.
A method of heat localization in the resting area of piglets is proposed. It has been established that the combined use of brooder and radiation or contact heating makes it possible to provide a temperature of 30.0 ± 0.17 … 30.4 ± 0.26 °C for the up to three-weeks-old aged young stock, and 26.6 ± 0.26 … 26.5 ± 0.27 °C without heating means for the seven-week-old aged animals, a reduction of air velocity by 40-50%. The installation of brooders for weaners at rearing allows creating a temperature of 23.4 ± 0.32 … 26.2 ± 0.28 °C, reducing its speed by 26.7…35.7% (P≤0.001) in comparison with the control. The use of brooders for heating contributes (P≤0.001) to an increase in the growth of live weight of young animals by the end of growing period by 8.6…9.6%, the livability – by 2…3%, and the improvement of hematopoiesis, in comparison with radiation heating by infrared lamps.
An increase in body temperature per day in piglets with birth weight from 925 to 1608 g by 4.3–6.2% was estab-lished. An increase in weanlings in comparison with newborns in live weight by 11.7 times, body length and height - by 2.3 and 2.1, chest depth and width - by 3 and 3.2 times, requires the provision of a heated floor area per piglet at birth 0.017 m2, at four weeks - 0.119 m2.
