With an increase in the volume of steel teemed on continuous casting machines its product range becomes broader and there is an increase in the requirements for continuously east billet quality and for the quantity and size of oxide and gas inclusions, which to a large degree determine the mechanical properties of the rolled product.In the steel teeming ladle-poly ladle-continuous casting machine mold sequenced it is necessary to prevent contact of the molten metal with the atmosphere during movement of the steel from one piece of equipment to another, which is done with the use of large refractory metal conductors, submerged nozzles and tubes for pzotection of the stream of metal Ill. Treatment of the steel in the poly ladle with inert gas, for which a stopper monoblock playing the role of the stopper and an argon pipe are used, is important in increasing the quality of a continuously cast billet [2J~
